Helping You Feel Better Around the World through Online Video Counseling
Are you dealing with time pressures, in a remote location, can’t or don’t want to leave home to attend counseling?
Do you have a high public profile and only want to access therapy in a very private setting where your anonymity will be assured?
Are you looking for a specialist in healing from narcissistic family scapegoating, CPTSD and relationship challenges like me, but live in another city, province or country?
Video Counseling could be the solution you are looking for
Did you know that Video Therapy is just as effective as in person counseling for individuals and couples? Recent studies show that video counseling compares favorably to in person therapy for positive outcomes and client satisfaction, and that people tend to stay with it longer – until they achieve the results they are seeking.¹
Video Counseling also provides you with easy access to the services of family abuse recovery and relationship specialist Glynis Sherwood, MEd, Canadian Certified Counselor. Connecting with people around the world from my office in Halifax Canada, I have many years experience providing effective video counseling services to individuals and couples who want to heal from childhood abuse and neglect or deal constructively with current family challenges. The truth is that Video Counseling works, it’s the wave of the future, and is here to stay due to convenience, privacy and access to specialized therapy services like mine that may not be available in your community or even your country.
These options benefit people who:
- Have time constraints
- Live in smaller communities where counseling – in particular, specialized therapy – is not readily available
- Want their privacy and anonymity to be protected as highly as possible
- Travel regularly and can’t always make appointments in-person
- Do not wish to commute to appointments
- Prefer to receive counseling in the privacy of their own home
- Have young children and don’t want the inconvenience of arranging child care
- Are Ex-Pats wanting to work with a counselor from a similar cultural background
- Struggle with anxiety and leaving home to attend appointments
How Video Counseling & Therapy Works
Counseling is available by Video across Canada and select countries around the world. I meet with clients by VSEE video, a free encrypted Telehealth video service available for Windows or MAC.
At the time of your therapy session I will call you from my counseling office, and meet with you in a private place of your choosing where you will not be interrupted, overheard or distracted. As such, I do not meet with clients who are with family, friends or children, or in public places due to privacy concerns, or driving due to safety and concentration challenges.
Video Counseling is scheduled and paid for in advance. Sessions are normally 60, 75 or 90 minutes in length.
A credit card number – VISA or MasterCard – is required to reserve your first appointment.
